I’m Rob from Victoria. For years I have tried to live a sort of duel-lifestyle. I have been the responsible, career driven, together Rob that has things in order. Then I have been reckless, criminal temperment, throw it all up in the air, cry later Rob. “My Rose Among Thorns”

The strong women who hold us down through thick and thin. You stepped up and took charge when my back was placed against the wall. I know that prison destroys a lot of relationships and marriages. But prison is also a discovery of truth, love and loyalty. 

A prison bid will separate the fake from the real. “If prison takes me away…” would you run, or would you stay? Will our world continue to stay blue, or suddenly turn grey? Will you at least come visit? or write me once a week? Or will ya forget about the magic nights we shared between the sheets. I know that you always tell me that you would never leave me behind. But if cops come and I lose everything, would you continue to stay by my side? Would you forget about the happy times and only remember the bad, start some phony argument to be mad, would you ride like a True Queen, or run like a fiend (dope).

If prison takes me away would you disappear like all those fake friends? Do some things you would never do because your low on ends. I know you’ll be hurt and missing me, but will you feel my pain? 

See if prison takes me away. I’ll think of you often, only have me to blame. That’s the first step of healing, is accepting the blame. In my worst, I’m at my best, through this ghetto of weeds we live in…you remain my rose among thorns, as I think how we met. You needed me and I needed you, to love you, cherish you, spoil you, protect you, make you the mother of our children, be there until the end, is what every person wants in a relationship. 

That’s my promise to you, to love you until the end.

Well let’s start by saying that I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. This is my 3rd pen bit. I’m 38 years young, I’m an Aries. I have no kids but lots of nephews and nieces. I played lacrosse for 17 years and 1 year for the pro team Toronto rocks. I work as a mover with all the Van lines: United, Atlas, A.M.J. Cambell, North American. I go coast to coast just in Canada. I am bilingual, was born on an island off Cape Breton Island call, petit is small, le grate is fat. I live in the province of Quebec for the last 25 years. Life has been rough since Covid 19, they cut the movement of inmates so sickness does not spread. Most inmates don’t work so they stay on the unit all day except for one hour a day.
